Battlefield REDSEC is a brand-new free-2-play experience from the minds of the Battlefield 6 franchise, it offers high-risk gunfights that can leave players down and out, so you might be wondering how to redeploy teammates back in to the fight once they've been eliminated.
Battlefield REDSEC offers a way for players to return to the battle but it can be somewhat risky to do. But, if you want to go on and win matches in Duos, Trios, or Quads, you need to have your team by your side. So, lets talk about how you get your friends back into the game.
How to Redeploy Teammates in Battlefield REDSEC

In Battlefield 6: REDSEC (the battle royale mode), redeploying fallen teammates is a key squad survival mechanic. It allows you to bring eliminated players back into the fight, but it requires coordination and defence.
There are two primary methods: an automatic free redeploy early in the match and using Redeploy Towers for later revivals. Note that this is distinct from quick revives (which happen on downed teammates via a nearby interaction), as redeploys are for fully eliminated players.
Reviving a Downed Player in Battlefield REDSEC
In Battlefield REDSEC, when a teammate gets downed (entering the bleed-out state after taking lethal damage), you can revive them to get them back in the fight quickly—before they fully eliminate and require a redeploy. This is faster and preserves their gear compared to redeploys. Any class can perform a basic revive, but the Support class excels here with their Defibrillator (Defib) gadget, which revives to full health (a premium trait in REDSEC). Other classes revive to partial health.
Revives introduce risk: You're exposed during the process, and enemies can interrupt. The new dragging mechanic lets you pull your teammate to cover mid-revive, adding tactical depth.
Revive
Use your squad HUD or pings to locate the downed teammate (they're marked with a green flatline symbol). Get close—within interaction range (about 2-3 meters).
Initiate the Revive
Hold the Interact button (E on PC, X/Square on console) to start the progress bar. This takes 4-6 seconds for basic revives (faster with Support perks).
If you're Support, equip and use the Defibrillator (default gadget)—aim at the downed player and fire for an instant zap that completes the revive quicker and restores full health/armour.
Use Dragging for Safety (Recommended)
Instead of reviving in place, press Crouch + Interact (or equivalent on console) to grab and drag your teammate. A drag meter fills as you move them to cover (e.g., behind a wall or vehicle).
Continue holding Interact while dragging to build revive progress simultaneously. Release to reposition.
Drop them in a safe spot and finish the revive.
Tip: Suppress enemies or call for squad cover during the timer. If successful, your teammate stands up ready to fight (with their loadout intact). If interrupted (e.g., you take damage), the progress resets partially.
Free Early-Game Redeploy (Automatic)
Every squad starts with one free redeploy per player, acting as a built-in second chance.
When a teammate is eliminated, a short timer (around 30-45 seconds) begins automatically.
Once the timer ends, the player redeploys near their elimination spot— no action needed from the squad.
Limitations: This is only available early in the match (first circle or two) and can't be used again. After that, switch to Redeploy Towers.
Tip: Use this window to regroup quickly, but watch for enemies swarming the redeploy zone.
Redeploy Towers (Main Method)
These are fixed structures scattered across the map for mid-to-late game revivals. They bring back all currently eliminated squadmates at once.
At least one surviving squad member must reach the tower. Towers are squad-shared, so coordinate via pings.
Open your map (M on PC) to spot a Redeploy Tower— they're marked with a parachute icon in major Points of Interest (POIs) like urban centres or bases.
Head to the nearest tower (HUD highlights them when a teammate is down for easier spotting).
Approach the tower and hold the Interact button (E on PC) to start the activation.
Stay within the tower's green highlighted zone during the process— the on-screen progress bar shows status.
Survive until completion (timer varies but is typically 45-60 seconds).
Eliminated teammates redeploy nearby with basic gear. The tower then deactivates (one-use per match per squad).
Leaving the zone cancels the redeploy.
Only works if the squad has at least one alive player.
Can't redeploy if the entire squad is wiped.
Tips
The tower blares a loud siren during activation, alerting the whole lobby— expect incoming fire, so fortify with cover or squad fire support.
Ping towers early if a teammate goes down to plan a route.
Combine with revives: Downed players can still be revived mid-process for faster recovery.
Prioritize towers in less contested POIs to minimize fights.
