Call of Duty has had a rough time trying to keep its upcoming title under wraps recently. You may have seen the flood gates open last week as tons of details about Modern Warfare III, the direct sequel to Modern Warfare II scheduled to release November 2023, leaked on Twitter.
Well, today another 'leak' has surfaced. This time via a Monster Energy drink promotional pack. Captain Price takes centre stage once more for Modern Warfare III. This key-art also confirms that last weeks leak was correct and the III logo will indeed be a strong crimson red colour.
As you can see from the artwork, an ominous eye is peering over Captain Price' shoulder. This is believed to be Vladimir Makarov. The main villain from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) game. Older fans will recall the now infamous mission "No Russian" that saw Makarov and his men marching through an airport unaliving everyone in sight. His return was teased at the end of 2022's Modern Warfare II.
Call of Duty is expected to reveal Modern Warfare III during an in-game event on August 2 in either DMZ or Warzone, as seen with previous Call of Duty titles of late. The title reveal could be as soon as July 26, with more Warzone Season 05 details expected around the same time.
