Popular mode set to make a return in MWII 15 February.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will finally receive the fan-favourite 'Hardcore' mode in the upcoming update for Season 02. Fans were left confused when the game launched with the popular mode missing, they were then even more confused when Hardcore was replaced with 'Tier 1' a mode that strips away even more of the on-screen visuals including hit-markers.
The replacement mode was instantly met with a negative response, with many players just avoiding the playlist all together. But Infinity Ward recently shared the great news that Hardcore would return in the next seasonal update on February 15. Why it was messed around with in the first place is anyone's guess. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
IW has stated they will be dropping a 'deep-dive blog post' at some point this week detailing all the changes coming to Modern Warfare II, Warzone 2 and DMZ. Lots of major changes, bug fixes and fresh content are expected on Feb 15 when Season 02 drops.
