Leaks are already starting to appear online about Modern Warfare III from the Trust Me, Bro University sources. We already "know" that the next Call of Duty title is being developed by Sledgehammer games and that it will be a direct sequel to 2022's Call of Duty Modern Warfare II that was originally meant to have 2 years of content.

Instead this extra content is being repackaged as a sequel that will release as a fully-priced Call of Duty title. So, if you aren't enjoying MWII then you are likely to not enjoy the next title to release as it is basically going to be version 2.5.

It has become tradition for Activision Blizzard and Call of Duty to reveal their upcoming titles in the popular Warzone mode. We saw it with Black Ops Cold War and then Vanguard. Large scale events that got players involved in-game to experience the reveals.

Current rumours suggest a change of direction with this years showcase. It will be hosted within the DMZ mode. Allegedly an event will take place that involves the unopened underground bunkers of Al Mazrah. Players will need to infiltrate, clear the area and defuse missile's that prepped to launch.

Modern Warfare III is expected to be revealed at some point during August, which lines up with the next season, Season 05. S05 should run from August 2. So, we don't have to wait much longer to find out.

The fact that they have chosen DMZ for this event fills me with confidence that the mode will endure and carry on growing after reports that it had been 'canceled' surfaced.

It is always important to remember that this is leaked information, it could be total sh*t or details can change.
