Call of Duty's Halloween update, The Haunting: Operation Nightmare, begins October 17. This event will see players collecting Souls from dead enemies to trade for in-game Halloween exclusive rewards.
This event will play out like Trophy Hunt where players had to collect Tokens from dead players to redeem items in the Trophy Hunt shop.
Here is our first look at the events tab. The image above details the amount of Souls collected by the player and a glimpse at the rewards that can be traded for said Souls.
Unlocking 10 items during the event will grant the player a special Operator Skin. Additionally, if you have pre-ordered Modern Warfare III you will receive bonus Souls.
The above image shows off the new spooky Boss types, or Eldritch's, that players can expect to come up against. These include Diablo's Butcher, a Swamp Creature, a Pharaoh, UFO, Ghost Train and Evil Spirits.
Eliminating all of these bosses in Warzone or DMZ will get you unique rewards such as Calling Cards and other items. Killing 5 out of the 6 bosses will give you the 'Bloody Mess' Blueprint.
The Haunting event will release on October 17 at 9 am PT | 12 pm ET | 5pm UK
