Everything You Need To Know About Modern Warfare Zombies in Season 3 Reloaded

Call of Duty has announced the details for Modern Warfare III's Season 3 Reloaded update that includes another sizable content drop for the Modern Warfare Zombies mode including a new Dark Aether Rift, new Schematics, a new Warlord, and more.

Today we are covering everything you can expect when the update goes live for Season 3 Reloaded on May 1.

Story Mission - Saving Dr. Jansen

In Season 3 Reloaded, players will need to travel through a third, brand-new, Dark Aether Rift to save Dr. Jansen who has been lured through its portal, and the Operation Deadbolt Operators must conduct a rescue mission with Ravenov's help to bring her back.

New Schematics

Players will be able to unlock 3 new schematics in Season 3 Reloaded by entering the Dark Aether Rift and completing Bunny Contracts like in previous iterations of the undead-dimension.

Dead Wire Detonators

• This Schematic adds the Dead Wire Ammo Mod effect to all launchers and lethal explosives.

Golden Mask Filter

• The Golden Mask Filter attaches to the Gas Mask or the Durable Gas Mask and self-recharges over time, much like the Golden Plate Schematic from the previous season. Be warned the mask can still break if its charge is fully used up in one go, though the filter will be reapplied to the next one you find.

Sergeant's Beret

• Equipping the Sergeant's Beret will trick enemy AI Mercs into thinking you are one of them, meaning they will not attack you. It comes with the added bonus of a Merc Bodyguard that will spawn and help you fight against the undead.

New Warlord - Rainmaker

Modern Warfare Zombies will also be getting a new Warlord named Rainmaker. You will find this Warlord on Rahaa Island in the Southern border of Urzikstan. This Warlord is protected by artillery and demolitions experts.

You can expect to come up against heavy mortar fire, RPG-wielding Mercs, and booby traps when entering Rainmakers fortress.

Dark Aether 3.0 - Hydroelectric

A third Dark Aether Rift will become available that will transport players to the Hydroelectric region of Al Mazrah. A Story Mission, Standard, and Elder version of the Rift will be available to players to fight their way through.

Other New Features

2 brand new features are set to come to MWZ in Season 3 Reloaded. A Stash capacity increase and schematic cooldown timer improvements. These features were announced at the beginning of Season 3 and are yet to be added so we expect them at the launch of S3R.

Stash Capacity increased to 20 slots

• Currently your out-of-game stash only allows 10 items to be store, this will be increasing with the Season 3 Reloaded update.

Schematic Cooldown Timer improvements

• Extracting Essence from matches will now count towards cooling down all cooldown timers in Modern Warfare Zombies meaning you can earn the rarer schematics, wonder weapons, and other upgrades back much faster after using them.
