What are GobbleGums?
GobbleGums first and last appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops III, although Black Ops 4 had a similar system with Elixir and Infinity Warfare Zombies' Fate & Fortune cards. They are essentially designed as a way of changing how players play the undead mode and boost chances of survivability.
There were dozens of different GobbleGums with a variety of effects from giving players every perk, to increasing bleed out time. The original system was controversial as players could spend real money to gamble on the Dr. Monty's Machine to earn random GobbleGums.
Players could choose 5 GobbleGums to take into each match, which could be purchased from the in-game Gobble Gum machine for 500 points. Players were limited so they couldn't purchase all 5 in a single round.
It is unclear how GobbleGums might work in Black Ops 6 Zombies yet but we won't have to wait long to find out with Call of Duty: NEXT right around the corner on August 28.
