5 Meta Weapons in MWZ Season 3 (Modern Warfare Zombies)

| GNG News COD | Published: April 15, 2024 |

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is now available with the seasonal update bringing a shake up to the meta weapons we thought it high time we test a few different weapons out, including the newly added FJX Horus, MORS, and Gladiator.

This is a list of 5 weapons that you should try for Modern Warfare Zombies in Season 3. All of these weapons are tested and optimized for the High Threat Zone and Dark Aether with Pack-a-Punch and Aetherium Tools applied to them.

MORS Sniper Rifle

  • Barrel: Photonic Charge Barrel

  • Laser: Corvus PEQ Beam-5

  • Stock: Superlite-90 Stock

  • Ammunition: HVP Anti-Material Slug

  • Bolt: Quick Bolt

The MORS isn't exactly meta material but it is actually insanely fun. It won't always one-shot enemies or be particularly great against those Tier 3 and Dark Aether Bosses but it does have a secret super power once it has been Pack-a-Punched.

Firing at the ground will cause an explosion that deals damage to large crowds of zombies and knocks them back. Great for deal with large hordes in the High Threat Zone and insanely fun to run.

  • Arms: Carbon Elite V3

  • Laser: Kimura RYL33 Laser Light

  • Optic: Slate Reflector

  • Bolts: Blastcap 20" Bolts

  • Stock: Speedtrak Echo

The Crossbow has been overpowered since the launch of MWZ. It remains my personal favourite weapon to take into the High Threat Zone and Dark Aether thanks to its effectiveness against large groups of Tier 3 Zombies and Bosses. It basically one-shots everything but PhD Flopper is an absolute must as it deals splash damage to the player.

FJX Horus

  • Muzzle: JAK BFB

  • Barrel: Ruse-90 Light Barrel

  • Underbarrel: Bruen Tactical Vertical Grip

  • Magazine: 48 Round Mag

  • Stock: No Stock

The FJX Horus is a brand-new SMG introduced in the Season 3 Battle Pass. It is has a high fire rate, large magazine, and more than controllable recoil making it a great choice to take into Zombies and upgrade to take on harder Zombies. It's a lightweight weapon so means you can move faster when carrying it.

JAK Limb Ripper Attachment

  • Underbarrel: JAK Limb Ripper

  • Barrel: Bruen Venom Long Barrel

  • Muzzle: Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider

  • Optic: Slate Reflector

  • Magazine: 45 Round Mag

Now this build is more focused on the Underbarrel attachment. At the start of Season 3 the infamous flamethrower attachment, aka the JAK Purifier, received a huge nerf making it way less effective in T3 - T5 zones.

The JAK Limb Ripper chainsaw attachment is taking it's place for the overpower attachment slot of the season. This underbarrel chainsaw will cut through High Threat Zone Zombies and Bosses and carry players well into the Dark Aether runs. The only downside to this attachment is it's ineffectiveness against Mega Abominations.

FR Avancer

  • Muzzle: JAK BFB

  • Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Light

  • Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop

  • Magazine: 60 Round Mag

  • Stock: FR Sprinter

Shout out to @CAFC__George for this FR Avancer build. Thanks to its super fast rate of fire, the FR Avancer is a fantastic choice to take into the red zone and Dark Aether. It fires at a similar speed as SMG's but deals Assault Rifle damage at longer ranges making it even more effective.
